There are some furniture moving supplies we can do without. Sometimes, there are a lot of cheap alternatives to choose from to help cut down expenses and save money. Here is a list of non-necessities and alternatives:
- Instead of buying moving blankets, use your own comforters or blankets to move furniture. There is no real necessity for moving blankets because after the move, the blankets that were used can be washed or dry cleaned.
- You can use newspaper to package the cabinets or shelves and used in place of edge protectors. They can be held with some tape and serve the same purpose.
- Use old rugs or carpets in place of furniture pads.
- Some types of furniture do not need any special care. They can be moved taking care not to scuff the edges and place them carefully in the transport vehicle.
- Furniture dollies are another accessory you can do without. If there are people to help in the move, renting or buying furniture dollies is not a wise option.
